Understand summer comfort at a glance

Three relative levels: Less prone to overheating, Typical for Zürich, More prone to overheating. Even a relatively better building can overheat. The estimate focuses on hot spells and nights, without active cooling. Confidence and a possible range show how much the result could vary.

Save and compare automatically

No floor, blinds or bedroom questions. Public building data generates the scenarios. Save two addresses to compare; overlapping ranges are inconclusive, and wide ranges remain visible with a low-confidence label.

Same street. Different summer experience.

Hot nights outside

Local outdoor heat provides context for how much cooler night air may be available. It is not an indoor measurement.

Sun at the windows

The citywide model tests all eight compass directions; exact window directions are unknown. Window sizes and blinds remain automatic scenarios; surrounding tree and building shade is not fully mapped.

Roof, insulation and airflow

Public floor counts constrain roof exposure. Unknown insulation and night ventilation remain scenarios. “Newly refurbished” or a heat pump alone does not establish summer performance.

An early signal, not a temperature promise

This is an uncalibrated beta screening model, not measured indoor temperature, a forecast, an energy certificate or a guarantee of comfort. It tests the hottest 72 hours within a fixed August 2023 heat spell, with 60% weight on nighttime overheating. It does not rate the rest of the year. The range is sensitivity to assumptions, not a statistical confidence interval. Active cooling is excluded; humidity and detailed room layout are not modeled. Missing core data means no score. Broad ranges and extreme modeled scenarios are shown with low confidence; the range does not quantify all model error.

Three questions to take to the viewing
Public data, with the assumptions visible

The model combines Canton Zürich outdoor climate data, public building-register data, and hourly MeteoSwiss weather. Unverified apartment characteristics remain explicit scenarios. No apartment answers are collected for the score. The result applies to the building; individual apartments can differ.
